2027 Foundation (Prep) enrolments

The Department of Education has released a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Anglesea Primary School.

The new timeline will apply for children starting Foundation (Prep) in 2027. All government primary schools will follow the timeline to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the following school year.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2027 at Anglesea Primary School from April 2026. For your child to be eligible for enrolment, please use the Find My School website (see link below) to see if your home address falls in our designated neighbourhood area (zone).

What you need to do:

1. Contact Anglesea Primary School on 5263 1231 to book a school tour to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process. Alternatively, you are welcome to attend our Open Day (see below)
2. Collect an enrolment pack or download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep)
3. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep)- These forms are currently available
4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application in August 2026. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer ASAP.
5. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 3 and 4, 2026. Details to come.
6. Your child will start Foundation (Prep) in January 2027.

Enrolment applications submitted after July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.
